ACP Women's Retreat 2017 – Saturday 22 April

Praying the Labyrinth
Speaker: Jill Geoffrion
Saturday 22 April 10h-17h at ACP

Are you longing for time with God? Would you like to learn about a form of prayer that will open you up to experience the great love Christ has for you? Then join us for this year's women's retreat!

First, you will learn about the history and purposes of labyrinth pathways and why the faithful have been walking the labyrinth for centuries. You will then be guided in various ways to use this spiritual tool yourself. There will be plenty of space and time for quiet and solitude, allowing you to experience this beautiful way of connecting with God ... praying the labyrinth.

Christ's love is the focus of this year's retreat. The entire day will be an act of worship as we listen, pray, reflect and spend time in His presence. We will learn, eat, sing and have fellowship together. Much of the day will provide time for women to walk the labyrinth and commune with the Lord.

The retreat will also have all-day childcare. Kids in childcare will be having their own retreat, complete with gym time, game time, Bible stories, arts and crafts and Bible shows. The nursery will be available for babies too!

Jill Geoffrion serves Christ as a contemplative minister and artist; she compassionately and creatively inspires others to seek a deeper relationship with God and a more meaningful life of service. Jill has a master's of divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from the Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she focused on women's studies and Christian spiritualities. Jill is an ordained pastor with the American Baptist Churches. She has written many books and articles, particularly on the study of labyrinth as a form of prayer. Jill is also an accomplished photographer. She lives with her husband in Chartres, France.

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) at ACP

MOPSlogo

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is a program designed to encourage mothers with children under school age through relationships and resources. We come from different backgrounds and lifestyles, yet have similar needs and a shared desire to be the best mothers we can be! www.mops.org

For more information about MOPS at ACP, contact MOPS at ACP

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19

For many young Moms, MOPS provides a compelling reason to walk through the door of a church. That’s because MOPS is a place that “gets Moms”, that understands their unique needs, challenges and joys in this vital season of early mothering.

Every Mom is welcomed, accepted and challenged to reach her potential, and recognize her influence with her family, and with her world.

MOPS impacts Moms and their families at a time when life-long values and relationships are being shaped and formed. MOPS connects families with a local church for on-going spiritual growth and development. Ultimately providing an opportunity to share the unconditional love and hope, found in a relationship with Jesus.
