Rev. Rebecca Burrow

Associate Pastor for Congregational Ministries.

Rev. Burrow is a licensed, ordained Baptist pastor who earned her MDiv at Christian Theological Seminary in Indiana and has worked bi-vocationally in ministry and human services for more than fifteen years.

Most recently, she has served as CEO of Building Reconciliation Inclusion Diversity and Gender Equity, LLC (BRIDGE) and Executive pastor at St. John Baptist Church in Florida. At St. John’s, her ministerial services included administration, leading worship, preaching and teaching, providing pastoral care and leadership development. She’s also previously served as an Associate Pastor, Minister of Music, hospital and parish chaplain and adjunct faculty, teaching Spirituality in Healthcare.

As she says, “My philosophy for ministry is shaped by the words of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., ‘Above all I see the preaching ministry as a [dual] process. On the one hand I must attempt to change the soul of individuals so that their societies may be changed. On the other I must attempt to change the societies so that the individual soul will have a change.’ As a servant leader and visionary transformative agent of Christ, I am called to respond to despair with hope, oppression with liberation, and inequity with justice. I’m excited to work with the ACP community in serving as a catalyst for inclusion, reconciliation, and transformation in Christ, while embracing diversity and multiculturalism.”
